Fisher House Foundation announced as a Premier Partner of the Invictus Games The Hague 2020
Fisher House Foundation, a long-time supporter of the Invictus Games, has become a Premier Partner of the Invictus Games The Hague 2020, presented by Jaguar Land Rover. As in previous Games, the focus of the partnership is on supporting the 1000+ family members and friends travelling with the competitors to The Hague in May next year.
“For nearly 30 years, the Fisher House program has helped military and veterans’ families by offering ‘a home away from home’ when their loved ones experienced a medical crisis,” said Ken Fisher, Chairman and CEO of Fisher House Foundation.
“These families exemplify the very meaning of the word “Invictus” or unconquered. It is why the Foundation has focused on supporting Family and Friends since the Games’ inaugural event in London in 2014 and will be there at The Hague in 2020.”
The Invictus Games The Hague 2020 is an international sporting event for wounded, injured and sick service personnel and veterans. From May 9-16, 2020, the Zuiderpark, The Hague will be transformed into the Invictus Games Park. Five hundred competitors from 19 countries will participate in 10 adaptive sporting events, joined by 1000 family and friends.
“The commitment of Fisher House to the Invictus Games is amazing,” said Gen (ret) Mart de Kruif, Chairman of the Invictus Games The Hague 2020. “The Foundation has been supporting the Family and Friends program from the very beginning and we couldn’t be more grateful that we are able to continue the legacy in The Hague.
