Art class fundraiser for Invictus Games Foundation

In support of the Invictus Games Foundation, Ascot Rehab are co-hosting a virtual art class with the well esteemed Colombian artist, Dairo Vargas, a contemporary fine artist who draws influence from the Renaissance and Baroque periods to cast a connection with our behaviour in modern society. Vargas’ work has been shown in London, Los Angeles, Miami, New York, Dubai and Hong Kong and features in multiple private collections.

The virtual class will be held on Monday 21st September at 6:30pm BST and will last 45 minutes. This will be carried out via Zoom; just click the below link at the specified date and time, and you will join in!

Once you donate, you will be entered into a raffle, and could win the art piece that Dairo creates during the session!

What will the art class be about?

Dairo will be giving a class on how to paint landscapes, to put us at one with nature, and let us absorb what comes natural in life. There comes an immediate feeling of relief with this experience, as nature can be a place where we can sit and reflect on life‘s meaning, away from the distractions and demands of our daily lives, especially in the midst of the current COVID-19 pandemic, and the stresses that come with it.

What materials will I need?

You will need:
–          Pencil and paper
–          A paint brush
–          The primary colours (Red, Yellow, and Blue)

Dairo’s art pieces are also for sale, and any pieces purchased on that day, will have 40% of its proceeds also donated to the Invictus Games Foundation – please visit his collection

Thanks Ascot Rehab and Dairo for your support!
